The Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve is the first national park in the UAE, where you can experience the thrilling activity of dune bashing. Ride in a 4x4 vehicle over rolling sand dunes and encounter various desert wildlife. Environmental protection The reserve has been meticulously protected by the Dubai government for years, preserving the pristine desert wilderness. It boasts diverse wildlife including Arabian oryx, sand gazelles, and mountain gazelles. Additionally, the reserve has reintroduced 38 native Arabian mammal and reptile species such as Arabian hares, sand foxes, Arabian red foxes, and Gordon's wildcats. It also serves as a sanctuary for thriving desert shrubs. Classic experience Beyond its precious flora and fauna, the reserve offers the must-try Dubai experience of dune bashing. The adventure concludes at sunset - the perfect time to admire the endless desert landscape. Sit atop the dunes to witness the stunning red-gold hues of the undulating sand formations under the setting sun, while watching the crimson orb disappear below the horizon. Arabian-style camp After sunset, return to a traditional Arabian-style camp where you can enjoy refreshments, try camel riding, or get intricate henna designs painted on your arms by local artists. Desert nightlife As night falls, wooden tables are set up in the desert for a lavish Arabic feast featuring grilled meats, fresh salads, and assorted Middle Eastern desserts.
