What to expect
Madurodam is a must-see when you visit the Netherlands. This magnificent miniature town is the Hague’s number 1 attraction. In this family-friendly theme park you will discover the highlights and heritage of the Netherlands at Madurodam through our indoor experiences, remarkable stories, hundreds of miniatures, and plenty of interactive activities.
Experience Holland’s Icons
Madurodam is home to 430 miniatures and at least 50.000 Madurodam-inhabitants. Together they bring the Netherlands in miniature alive. Everything is scaled down to 1:25, including people, windmills, trains, cars and boats, all of which come to life as they move around.
Dive into the Dutch culture while you learn all about our fight against water, trading history and our love for cheese and ‘gezelligheid’. And discover the most beautiful places: from historic windmills to modern buildings in surprising shapes, and eye-catching century old churches, astonishing palaces, football fields, canals and lots and lots of bicycles stalled everywhere!
Discover our indoor experiences
In our seven indoor attractions you can combine the two best things: playing and learning! Travel back in time in New Amsterdam and discover the Dutch roots in the famous city that never sleeps (New York, New York!). Step into the world of Dutch masters like Johannes Vermeer, Vincent van Gogh and others. Crawl through hidden paths, explore everything you can think of, and get swept away by the unexpected in famous paintings.
Our newest attraction: darkride The Wind Chaser
Ever wondered how the Dutch mastered the wind? In The Wind Chaser you’ll find out! Travel through time, ride the wind and feel the power of Dutch innovation! Everything spins, sways, whooshes, and comes to life. Hold onto your hat and begin your whirlwind journey!
