What to expect
Jordaan is the kind of neighbourhood that earns its reputation one meal at a time. Its crooked canal streets, its flower-lined alleyways, its cafés that have been feeding the same families for generations - this is the real Amsterdam, and we've been showing it off for a while now.
This anniversary edition takes you through the best of it, one extraordinary bite at a time. You'll sit down in a café that dates back to 1642, meet a fishmonger who knows exactly what to do with a fresh herring, and taste your way through Dutch cheese at different stages of age and character. Along the way, the city's layered history comes alive - from the workers who built these streets in the 17th century, passing by Anne Frank House, to the immigrant kitchens that have quietly become some of the best eating in Amsterdam.
A route this good takes time to perfect. Small group, real stories, no fillers - just the guide, the neighbourhood, and twelve very good reasons to come hungry.
Terms & conditions
Wear flat shoes – it is, after all, a walking tour, so be comfortable.
Bring a bottle of water – we do have drinks stops throughout the tour, walking can be thirsty work.
Come hungry. You'll be tasting lots of food!

This activity requires a minimum of 4 guests. Should this not be met, we will contact you directly to help you get rescheduled or reimbursed.
Children under 4 years old do not need a ticket and can join the tour for free. However, food is not included.
