Sail a boat in Amsterdam without needing a boating license. Just make sure you’re at least 18 years old. Bring a valid ID, proof of reservation, and a deposit of €100 by debit or credit card.
Bring your own food and drinks on board, but the person steering the boat must remain sober to ensure safety. Others are welcome to enjoy a refreshing drink. Remember that playing music on board is prohibited and that you must take other boats on the Amsterdam canals into account.
Amsterdam is home to no less than 165 canals and over 1680 bridges. With such an abundance of waterways, you have the freedom to plan your own unique route. During a relaxing 2-hour cruise, explore the picturesque Jordaan, the historic canal belt, the scenic Amstel, and even the charming Plantage district.
