Explore the hidden side of Amsterdam with our underground art tour. The metro isn’t just transport - it’s full of stories, riddles, and surprises waiting to be uncovered. Fourteen million people pass through every year, barely noticing the artworks around them. But these pieces tell tales about Amsterdam, its people, social issues, politics, and even love. Some connect the underground to the world above, revealing stunning architecture or even a glimpse of wildlife.
Join us as we explore two unique metro routes: one modern, one historic. We’ll visit the underground archaeological museum and stop at about ten stations filled with fascinating art. Some works are so well hidden, we’ll need to play detective to find them!
