What to expect
Cordoba is the Spanish city with the highest number of World Heritage Site designations.
We invite you to discover one of the most outstanding, beautiful, and attractive gems in Andalusia. This unique place was the capital of both a Roman province and an Islamic Caliphate.
The day begins around 8:30 AM with a pick-up from your accommodation. We'll then travel through the center of Andalusia while the tour guide explains the historical importance of this city that became a major global reference point.
Upon arrival in Córdoba, we'll visit the Mosque-Cathedral, a World Heritage Site, built in 785 by a Muslim emir on the site of an ancient church, and considered one of the most important works of Islamic art in Spain.
Afterwards, we'll take a guided tour of the Jewish Quarter, the old Jewish neighborhood where the Synagogue is located, one of the best-preserved in Andalusia, and of the Barrio de San Basilio, with admission to some of its well-known courtyards.
Around 2:00 PM, you'll have free time to stroll through its whitewashed streets with flower-filled balconies and visit bars recommended by the tour guide to try the local cuisine.
Finally, we'll return to our accommodation after a day learning about the history of Al-Andalus.
