What to expect
Your experience begins in Ribes de Freser, where you will meet your guide and the rest of your group to embark on this two-day adventure through the Vall de Núria. From here, you will begin your ascent to Quralbs, a charming mountain village that marks the gateway to the Pyrenees and where the real journey through the heart of nature begins.
Throughout the first day, you will walk along trails surrounded by lush forests, crossing rivers and ravines, while taking in spectacular views of the valley. The trail will take you to Vall de Núria, a unique setting surrounded by mountain peaks, where you will visit the iconic Sanctuary of the Virgin of Núria, a place steeped in history, tradition, and spirituality. You will also discover natural wonders such as the Salt del Grill, a stunning waterfall that adds even more character to the hike.
At the end of the day, you will rest at your chosen accommodation. You can choose between a hotel in Vall de Núria, where meals are not included but there are restaurants in the area, or a mountain hut, which includes half-board (dinner and breakfast). Special menus for specific dietary requirements are available upon request. At the mountain lodge, it is recommended to bring cash for any additional purchases.
On the second day, you will resume the trek to complete the loop route, traversing new high-mountain landscapes amidst alpine meadows, rock, and water, before gradually returning to Queralbs. Throughout the trek, your guide will accompany you, ensuring the safety of the group, adapting the pace, and sharing insights about the surrounding area.
The route may be modified depending on weather conditions or for safety reasons. Mobile phone coverage may be limited at high altitudes, making this the perfect opportunity to disconnect. Children may participate as long as they are accompanied by an adult, and pets are allowed only with the hotel accommodation option. A comprehensive experience to discover one of the most iconic valleys in the Catalan Pyrenees.
