Discover the birthplace of Valencian wine on this immersive winery tour in Utiel-Requena, just under an hour from Valencia.
Known as the Valencian Tuscany, this protected wine region is a landscape of rolling valleys and vast vineyards where winemaking has flourished since the 7th century BC — one of the oldest traditions in the world.
On this full excursion (up to 6 hours), you’ll arrive in Requena for a short stroll through its charming streets before visiting two iconic wineries. You’ll have ample time at each winery to relax, use the facilities, and fully enjoy the tastings and surroundings:
Murviedro Historical Winery
Step into the charming old town of Requena and descend into 12th-century underground caves, once used to store wine and food at perfect temperatures. Enjoy a guided tour through this unique cellar, followed by a tasting of three exquisite wines & snacks.
Vera de Estenas Winery
Surrounded by stunning vineyards and an authentic family estate, this beautiful winery offers a warm, tranquil atmosphere. Here, you’ll learn about traditional wine crafting while tasting three of their finest wines accompanied by local cold cuts.
Depending on the season, you may also get the chance to taste grapes fresh from the vine (August-September) or even participate in grape treading (October) — a truly authentic experience!
