We begin at St. Peter’s Basilica, where you’ll dive into centuries of history right from the start. First, take the elevator to the first level of St. Peter’s Dome and step out onto the panoramic terrace for stunning views over St. Peter’s Square. Feeling adventurous? Climb the remaining 300 steps to the top for a jaw-dropping, 360° view of Rome and the Vatican—it’s absolutely worth the effort.
Back on ground level, enjoy free time inside the Basilica to explore at your own pace. Admire Michelangelo’s Pietà, stand beneath Bernini’s majestic Baldacchino, and visit the grand altar built over the tomb of St. Peter.
From there, we head to the Vatican Museums, where skip-the-line access saves you time for the art that really matters. Discover Raphael’s Rooms, the Gallery of Maps, and the peaceful Courtyard, all leading up to the tour’s grand finale—the Sistine Chapel. Here, you’ll stand in awe beneath Michelangelo’s iconic ceiling, featuring masterpieces like The Creation of Adam, and witness the unmissable Last Judgement.

The Tour Guy will not be held responsible for refused entry due to unsuitable attire
During State visits or special religious events, parts of the Vatican may be closed unexpectedly. If an area normally covered on a tour is closed, the guide will still provide explanations of the closed areas from outside. Plus, you will see an extra site or gallery to compensate
Due to its holy origin, speaking is prohibited inside the Sistine Chapel. Therefore your guide will provide insights before entering, after which you are free to explore at own convenience.
Please note there is no skip the line service at the St Peter's Basilica, though due to our early start we can avoid most of the day time crowds.
