What to expect
Join a half-day guided tour and explore the ancient ruins of Herculaneum with priority access. Follow your expert guide as you walk through the streets of one of the best-preserved Roman towns, immersing yourself in daily life and the tragic story of the Vesuvius eruption that buried it nearly 2,000 years ago.
On October 24, 79 AD, Mount Vesuvius erupted, destroying both Pompeii and Herculaneum. Rediscovered in the 18th century, Herculaneum is today one of the most fascinating archaeological sites in the world, with buildings, mosaics, and artifacts remarkably preserved.
During the tour, you will see highlights such as House of the Deer, Forum Baths, House of Neptune and Amphitrite, Gymnasium and Forum.
As you walk through the ruins, imagine the lives of wealthy merchants and nobles and experience the sudden terror caused by the eruption. See the remains of those who tried to flee to the sea, along with charred wood, paintings, mosaics, and ceramics that survived the disaster.
