Discover Procida from Naples: Hydrofoil and Boat Tour of an Authentic Island
Embark on a magical journey to Procida, the smallest and most authentic of the Bay of Naples islands. Begin your adventure with a comfortable 40-minute hydrofoil ride from Naples’ Molo Beverello, crossing sparkling waters to reach Marina Grande, Procida’s colorful and lively port.
From here, set off on an exclusive one-hour boat tour led by a local skipper aboard a traditional gozzo boat. As you cruise around the island, your guide will share fascinating insights into Procida’s volcanic geology, rich maritime history, and beloved local legends.
Admire the dramatic tufa cliffs that define the island’s rugged coastline, where sea-carved caves offer perfect opportunities for snorkeling. The contrast of crystal-clear waters, yellow rock formations, and lush Mediterranean vegetation creates a truly breathtaking seascape. On clear days, you may even catch a glimpse of Ischia on the horizon.
Sail past the island’s most iconic beaches: Postino Beach, known for its appearance in the famous film Il Postino; Ciraccio Beach, with its unique twin sea stacks; and Chiaiolella, a lively bay with a charming small marina. Nearby lies Vivara, a protected natural reserve connected to Procida by a narrow pedestrian bridge—an untouched green gem home to rare birds and flora.
The tour continues along the southern shore, offering panoramic views of Chiaia Beach, nestled beneath dramatic cliffs and accessible only by sea or a long staircase. Soon you’ll reach Marina di Corricella, Procida’s oldest fishing village, where pastel-colored houses cascade down the hillside, creating one of the most picturesque scenes in the Mediterranean.
As you circle back, look up to Terra Murata, the medieval heart of the island perched atop a dramatic hill. Here, colorful homes surround the imposing Abbey of San Michele Arcangelo, offering a glimpse into the island’s ancient soul.
The tour ends back at Marina Grande, where you’ll board the hydrofoil for your return to Naples—carrying unforgettable memories of Procida’s beauty, culture, and timeless charm.
Optional Upgrade: Choose the extended 2-hour version to include two swim/snorkel stops, depending on sea conditions.
