Join us for a walk in the heart of Benevento, the "city of witches," guardian of ancient memories and a rich historical and cultural heritage. With expert, certified guides, you'll explore the main wonders of the historic center.
The tour kicks off at the Rocca dei Rettori, an imposing 14th-century medieval building that now houses the Provincial Administration. We'll continue to the Church of S. Sofia, a masterpiece of Lombard architecture founded by Arechi II in 762 AD, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its originality and historical importance. The walk continues to the Hortus Conclusus, an artistic garden that houses the works of Mimmo Paladino, one of Italy's greatest contemporary artists. Finally, we'll admire the Arch of Trajan, a monumental 2nd-century Roman arch, a symbol of the city and one of the most important of Roman times.
