What to expect
Gain access to the ancient Roman town of Herculaneum with your entrance ticket. Herculaneum was buried under ash after the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD but, unlike the nearby site of Pompeii, a lot of the town was preserved: roofs, beds, doors, food, and even 300 skeletons.
Walk the cobbled streets of this UNESCO World Heritage Site and get a glimpse of what life was like before the devastating eruption. Marvel at artifacts that have kept their original form for almost 2000 years.
Explore intact buildings at your own pace, see well-preserved frescoes and imagine the daily rituals of those using the shops, public gymnasium, and public swimming baths that can still be seen today.
There are two ticket options. One includes a digital audio guide app to be downloaded on your smartphone, which is available in English, French, Italian, and Spanish. You will receive the instructions with your booking confirmation. Alternatively, you can opt for the physical audio guide device.

From March 16 to October 14 opening hours from 9:30 AM-7:30 PM (last admission 6:00 PM; the archaeological area must be left by 7:00 PM)
From October 15 to March 15 opening hours from 8:30 AM-5:00 PM (last admission 3:30 PM; the archaeological area must be left by 4:40 PM)
