Begin by downloading your audio guide to your smartphone. Then head to the Cathedral and use the ticket that was sent by your contact detail provided. Marvel at the indoor decoration, and listen to your app tell you how the Cupola was created. Admire the fresco The Last Judgment by Giorgio Vasari.
Next, stroll over to the Baptistery of St. John, best known for its ceiling decorated with golden mosaics and its gleaming bronze doors, called the Gates of Paradise. Explore this thousand-year-old building adorned with splendid marbles and a colossal golden mosaic.
Afterwards, head to the Opera del Duomo Museum, which houses over 700 Middle-Age and Renaissance masterpieces, including Michelangelo's Pietà Bandini. Then visit the Santa Reparata, the ancient basilica's remnants, which showcases paleochristian mosaics and refined tombstones.

The Baptistery is undergoing restoration of the mosaics of the vault and every first Sunday of the month closes at 2.00 pm
The Cathedral and the crypt are closed on Sundays and for liturgical reasons without notice
Opera del Duomo Museum at Piazza del Duomo n. 9, closed on the first Tuesday of every month
Shoulders and knees MUST be covered to get into the cathedral's ground floor, baptistery, and crypt, but not required in other sites of the dome. Please respect the place of worship
