What to expect
A walking route to discover — or rediscover — Udine from a different perspective, beyond the image of the quiet and orderly city that many are familiar with.
Among elegant squares, historic palaces, loggias, panoramic views and details often observed only in passing, the tour tells the story of a Udine made up of art, power, popular traditions, legends and little curiosities related to daily life in Friuli.
Walking in the heart of the city, we will retrace stories and impressions that speak not only of Udine's Venetian past, but also of its most authentic identity: that of local customs, idioms, taverns, flavors and a conviviality that is still part of the Friulian character today.
At the end of the route, you can stop at a traditional tavern to taste the famous frico, a signature dish of Friulian cuisine, accompanied by a tajut, the typical glass of local wine.
An itinerary designed both for first-time visitors to Udine and for those who have lived there all their lives and want to see it with new eyes, among memories, mysteries and the flavors of home.
