What to expect
Travel in our bus from the pick up point to Mount Vesuvius to reach an altitude of 1000 meters and then hike up to climb the crater.
Experience a one of a kind panoramic view of the Campania region, along with all of the diverse landscape it has to offer from scenic mountains to the beautiful Mediterranean coastline.
Begin the tour by walking up the gravelly path of switchbacks towards the volcano’s summit. Continue hiking towards the volcano rim going up and down its marginal contours.
Once at the top, gaze at the crater, and take in the spectacular panorama over the Bay of Naples to the right and the caldera to the left. Enjoy a unique view of the surrounding areas including Capri, Ischia, Procida, Naples, and Pompeii from above.

· Meeting point is just next to the Hotel Ramada
· Is not possible to store bags and personal items on the bus during the tour (you can bring regular bags with you but during the tour you will have to bring them with you)
· In case of rain the tour goes ahead (unless guides of mount vesuvius decide can be dangerous for the clients to go up)
· In case of closure of the Vesuvius National Park due to inclement weather, the tour will instead include a visit of the Herculaneum excavations
· The Vulcanological guide is on the top of the Crater and it is a service offered by Vesuvius National Park (clients need to ask for it once at the crater)
