What to expect
Enjoy a unique experience by spending a night in the fascinating Cardaneto Castle, dating back to the 13th century and built by the Lombards to defend the Byzantine corridor. You'll stay in the oldest part of the castle, within walls steeped in history and mystery, and take a guided tour of the tower, the ancient kitchen, and the evocative hall of the ghost Oddo, known as Fontelucio.
Your guide will take you on a journey to discover the stories and characters that have inhabited the castle, including Orazio Cardaneti, an illustrious sixteenth-century rhetorician. Thanks to ancient documents and work tools, you'll relive the atmosphere of bygone eras.
After your visit, you can enjoy a wine aperitif on the rooftop terrace or by the pool (depending on the season). From April to October, pool access is included, and in the colder months, you'll warm up next to the ancient brazier. If the weather's bad, the aperitif will be held in the charming Horatii room. The experience includes an overnight stay in the ghost room, for an unforgettable night full of history, mystery, and relaxation.
