What to expect
Enter the world's most famous amphitheater, the Colosseum. See a partially reconstructed section of the arena floor (if option with Arena floor is selected) to imagine what the building looked like during the Roman Empire.
Follow your guide on an exciting journey through the history of the monument, and get a close-up view of the senator seats as well as the trap door where wild animals were released for bloodthirsty entertainment. From the edge of the arena floor you can look down into the underground area to see the chamber that held these wild animals and the pathways taken by the gladiators.
Enter through the gladiator's gate, stand on the arena floor, and see the Arch of Constantine.
