Once inside, your guide leads you through one of the world’s largest museum collections, built over five centuries and spread across dozens of galleries. With a carefully crafted route and engaging storytelling, your guide helps you focus on the true masterpieces and brings them to life.
Along the way, you will visit key highlights such as the Gallery of Maps, with its sweeping frescoed view of Italy across the walls, the Gallery of Tapestries, and the Pio-Clementine Museum, home to classical masterpieces including the iconic Apollo Belvedere.
One of the most memorable moments arrives in the Sistine Chapel. You may know it from photos, but standing beneath Michelangelo’s Creation of Adam and The Last Judgment is something else entirely. With your guide’s commentary still in mind, the sense of awe deepens in the chapel’s quiet interior.
If you choose the tour of all three sites, your guide will lead you through Bernini’s Royal Staircase, once reserved for popes and royalty, directly into St Peter’s Basilica. Inside, admire Michelangelo’s Pietà, Bernini’s Baldachin, and the vast interior of this UNESCO World Heritage site.
For the ultimate finish, choose the Dome access and continue independently after the guided portion. Take the elevator up, then complete the final ascent on foot for sweeping views over Vatican City and Rome.

Dome Climb (if included): 320 steps, narrow spirals; not recommended for under 6, pregnant women, reduced mobility, or heart/respiratory issues, vertigo, claustrophobia, or low fitness.
Closures: Sistine Chapel, St Peter’s Basilica, or Museums sections may close or restrict without notice; itinerary adjusts and no refunds apply.
