What to expect
Adjacent to the Casa Batllo, the House of Amatye is also one of the buildings in the "Discordant Neighborhood". The open and imposing white house uses colorful mosaics on the decoration of the gate, and the delicate bas-relief on the wall vividly outlines Legendary figures such as dragons and knights, and the gabled roof are also very unique. This neo-Gothic-style building was built between 1898 and 1900 by Carda Falci, a representative of modernist architecture. It was originally used as the residence of chocolatier Antoni Amatller. The exhibition area of the building has been opened to the public. You can visit this charming modernist masterpiece under the guidance of a docent.
