What to expect
The Egyptian Museum, located in the heart of Barcelona's expansion area, houses one of the most important collections of ancient Egyptian art and crafts in Europe, and you are free to explore its many attractions throughout the day. The 2,000-square-meter exhibition space features nearly 1,000 artifacts, including sarcophagi, mummies, jewelry and amulets, each of which allows visitors to learn more about the daily life and popular customs of the pharaohs. Visitors can take a guided tour of the collection, led by an Egyptologist, to learn more about this ancient civilization. In addition to the permanent and short-term exhibits, there are other activities that allow visitors to explore the exhibits in an entertaining way, such as guided evening tours of Egypt with actors reenacting scenes of Egypt, and guided Egyptian food tours where you can taste the everyday food of ancient Egypt .
