UTV Buggy Adventure Jogja is an off-road adventure tour package offering the experience of driving a 4-wheeled UTV (Utility Task Vehicle) along extreme trails on the slopes of Mount Merapi. Designed for all levels, this activity combines adrenaline, nature exploration, and educational sightseeing into one exciting and unforgettable journey.

The experience uses a stable, safe, and easy-to-control UTV vehicle — suitable for both beginners and experienced adventure enthusiasts. The overall experience is a full fun off-road adventure with semi-adrenaline and full exploration elements.

Guests are welcomed by a professional team, followed by a quick and easy registration process before the activity begins. Prior to riding, participants will receive a comprehensive safety briefing, instructions on how to operate the UTV, and equipment including a helmet and boots. Participants are also given the opportunity to try the UTV in a practice area to ensure they are comfortable before entering the main track. Duration: approximately 1.5 – 2 hours.

What to expect

Upon arrival, guests are welcomed by a professional team and go through a quick and easy registration process. Before the adventure begins, all participants attend a comprehensive safety briefing and receive instructions on how to operate the UTV vehicle. Helmets and boots are provided on-site. Guests are also given time in a practice area to get comfortable with the vehicle before entering the main track.

The adventure kicks off along village trails, where guests interact with friendly locals and witness authentic rural daily life surrounded by unspoiled nature. The route then opens up into lush green rice fields, offering a peaceful and scenic warm-up before the real action begins. From here, guests enter the iconic Merapi volcanic rock terrain — a challenging and visually dramatic trail that is a favourite spot for adventure photography.

The journey continues through an educational zone dedicated to the history of Mount Merapi's eruptions, offering fascinating insight into Indonesia's most famous active volcano. Guests then enter the dedicated drift and free manoeuvre zone, including a mud track where they can push the vehicle to its limits. The final stretch takes guests through river crossings and water splashes — expect to get wet, muddy, and have an absolute blast. The adventure concludes at an iconic spot from the dramatic 2010 Mount Merapi eruption, with massive boulders and a breathtaking landscape forming the perfect epic backdrop for photos. Total duration is approximately 1.5 – 2 hours.

• Minimum driver age is 17 years old. Minors must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
• Not recommended for: pregnant women, those with a history of heart disease or epilepsy, bone injuries or back problems, or those not physically fit.
• Participants must attend the safety briefing and follow all guide instructions. Reckless driving is strictly prohibited.
• Wear comfortable clothing that you don't mind getting dirty. Bring a change of clothes and outdoor sandals or shoes. Helmet and boots will be provided.
• Outdoor activities may be delayed or cancelled during extreme weather for safety reasons.
• Not permitted to participate under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Ticket Eligibility

• Each ticket is valid for 1 visitor only and is non-transferable.
• Minimum age to drive a UTV is 17 years old. Minors must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
• Participants must be in good physical and mental health at the time of the activity.
• Not recommended for: pregnant women, those with a history of heart disease or epilepsy, bone injuries or back problems, or those who are not physically fit.
• Not permitted to participate if under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Attraction Access

• Ticket includes access to the full UTV Buggy off-road trail experience as per the selected package (Single or Double).
• Certain locations along the route may have additional local levy fees charged separately on-site (e.g. orange picking visit).
• Each session has a maximum of 5 UTV units available — early booking is recommended.
• Ticket is valid on the selected visit date only. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your session start time.

Additional Information

• Wear comfortable clothing that you don't mind getting dirty. Bring a change of clothes and outdoor sandals or shoes.
• Recommended items to bring: hat or head cover, sunglasses, mask or buff, and sunscreen.
• Helmet and boots will be provided by the operator.
• All participants must attend the safety briefing and follow all guide instructions throughout the activity.
• Morning or late afternoon visits are recommended to avoid excessive heat.

Important Notes

• In cases of extreme or dangerous weather, the operator reserves the right to delay, modify, or stop the activity for safety reasons. No refund will be issued for weather-related modifications or cancellations.
• The operator reserves the right to stop the activity if a participant violates the rules or acts in a manner that endangers themselves or others.
• Negligence or failure to follow guide instructions is the sole responsibility of the participant.
• Loss or damage to personal belongings is the participant's own responsibility. The operator and Traveloka are not responsible for any loss, theft, or damage to personal items during the activity.
• Damage caused by normal use is the operator's responsibility. Damage resulting from participant negligence or violation of rules may be subject to a compensation fee based on the extent of damage.
