What to expect

Dachau is a small town in the northwest of Munich, about 40 minutes' drive from the city. On March 22, 1933, just seven weeks after the Nazis seized power, a prison was built here. It is said that more than 32,000 Jews died here. At present, the gas chamber and the corpse incinerator are open for viewing.
