What to expect
DIE MAUER / THE WALL - asisi Panorama Berlin (also known as THE WALL - asisi Panorama Berlin) is an exhibition hall located in Berlin, Germany. It uniquely recreates historical scenes from the Berlin Wall era through panoramic displays, offering visitors an immersive perspective into life in Berlin during the Cold War. Using a circular panoramic painting, it vividly depicts everyday life in Berlin's Kreuzberg district during the 1980s under the shadow of the Berlin Wall. Standing 4 meters tall, this artwork transports visitors back in time, allowing them to experience the contrasting lives on both sides of the Wall. Created by artist Yadegar Asisi, the exhibition meticulously presents details of the Berlin Wall, death strip, and border facilities through intricate paintings and layouts, enabling visitors to closely observe and engage with this historical period. In addition to the panoramic painting, the venue screens a documentary about Yadegar Asisi's creative process, providing further insight into the artist's vision and the stories behind the exhibition.
