What to expect
Today's St. Nicholas Church is a Gothic building rebuilt after a fire in 1842. The original church was built in the 12th century, and the church rebuilt in 1874 was the tallest building in the world at that time. There is a sculpture of "Earth Angel" in front of the bell tower. On the pedestal, there are several kinds of words for peace and blessings, including Chinese. If you are interested, you can go and see it.
