What to expect
Completed in 1879, it is the largest and oldest wax museum in Germany. The wax museum imitates more than 100 wax figures from the history, culture, entertainment and sports circles in life-size, and displays them with suitable sets. Visitors can find Schiller, Napoleon, Cleopatra and Fritz the Elder (ie King Friedrich II of Prussia) as well as Picasso, former German National football captains Uwesile, Graff, Harry Potter, James Dean, Elvis Leslie and the Beatles, among others, Princess Diana and Michael Jackson. The Museum of Medical History is gloomy and terrifying, where many wax figures are displayed, including a childbirth specimen, a newborn specimen, a rash specimen and a glass false eye specimen. Guided tours must be reserved.
