This attraction is one of the four representative buildings of Paris and currently the largest arch on the Champs-Élysées. It was built to commemorate Napoleon's victory at the Battle of Austerlitz in 1806.The Arc de Triomphe de l'Etoile is 49.54m high, 44.82m wide, and 22.21m thick. The central arch is 36.6m high and 14.6m wide.On the four facades of this attraction, there are four massive relief carvings representing "Expedition," "Victory," "Peace," and "Resistance."

Setting Out: The Statue of Liberty draws her sword to lead the people forward, commemorating the "August 10th Event"—a pivotal uprising in the French Revolution that led to the collapse of the French monarchy. If you hear another name for this relief, you'll surely recognize it: "La Marseillaise," the anthem that inspired the French people to fight for freedom.

Victory: Carved with scenes of Napoleon's triumphant return, surrounded by the Goddess of Victory crowning him with olive branches, playing celebratory music, and recording his great achievements.

Resistance: This relief commemorates the Sixth Coalition against Napoleon and the indomitable resistance of the French people.

Twelve grand avenues radiate from the Arc de Triomphe de l'Etoile in Paris, creating a magnificent urban design that serves as a model for major European cities.

• Free admission days: The first Sunday of each month from November to March; European Heritage Days (Saturday, September 20 – Sunday, September 21, 2025 and Saturday, September 19 – Sunday, September 20, 2026).
