What to expect
The founder of the Caen Memorial Museum is Jean-Marie Girault. Nearly three-quarters of the city of Caen, which was killed in the war of liberation in the summer of 1944, was destroyed and deserved to be compensated accordingly. The Caen memorial is like a dedication, but the focus is on the memorial's theme: reconciliation. This is the unique mission of the Caen Memorial, which will guide you through the different parts of the memorial, taking you back to the 20th century. This chapter in global history began with the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand in Sarajevo on June 28, 1914, and ended in part with the "fall of the Berlin Wall" on November 9, 1989.
