What to expect
The ChapelleExpiatoire is a Catholic church in the eighth district of Paris, the capital of France. It was born in 1816 by French neoclassical architects Pierre Francois Leonor Fontaine and Charles Parr. Co-designed by Syer. This chapel was built by order of King Louis XVIII on the foundations of the Madeleine cemetery where King Louis XVI and Queen Marie Antoinette were buried. During the French Revolution, 3,000 victims were buried on the site of this chapel.
