About this experience
It is the second largest beach on Boracay Island in the Philippines, located on the northern coast facing Carabao Island. Puka Shell Beach, also known as Yapak Beach, got its name from the abundance of puka shells that were once found here. These shells were a popular material for ornaments in the 1970s and 1980s, and traces of puka shell piles can still be seen on the beach. The crystal-clear waters here are perfect for water activities like snorkeling and banana boat rides. The sunset views in the evening are breathtaking, making it a popular proposal spot for many couples. Singer Fish Leong even took her wedding photos here.
