What to expect

Upon arrival at the Oslob Whale Shark Watching site, guests complete registration and receive a safety and conduct briefing from trained local interaction officers before entering the water. Equipped with a snorkel, mask, and life vest, guests wade into the shallow coastal waters where the whale sharks are already present, circling gracefully just beneath the surface. Each session lasts approximately 30 minutes, during which guests may swim, float, or snorkel alongside these magnificent animals — observing their vast spotted bodies, sweeping tail fins, and effortless movement through the water at remarkably close range. The session is calm, guided, and deeply memorable, offering one of the most breathtaking wildlife encounters available anywhere in Southeast Asia.
