Located within the iconic Gardens by the Bay, IMBA Theatre is a new cultural destination where curiosity, creativity, and technology come together. Designed to make art and culture accessible to all, IMBA presents large-scale exhibitions powered by light, motion, sound, and imagination—creating immersive experiences that transform the way you see the world.

One of its headline showcases is The World’s Biggest Botero Experience, featuring three unique presentations: Botero: Heart of Volume (Gallery Exhibition), Botero: A Life in Fullness (Immersive Experience), and Botero: Garden Grandeur. Discover over 100 paintings, drawings, and sculptures that explore Botero’s signature style, alongside a groundbreaking immersive journey narrated by the artist’s son, offering rare insight into his life and legacy.

IMBA Theatre also presents David Hockney: Bigger & Closer (not smaller & further away) — the first-ever David Hockney immersive experience in Southeast Asia. Through sweeping projections and immersive soundscapes, this vibrant showcase spans six decades of Hockney’s work, inviting visitors to step inside the artist’s creative vision.

Expect a multi-sensory journey where art meets technology. Walk through gallery spaces showcasing original works, then transition into immersive environments filled with large-scale projections, music, and storytelling.

The Botero exhibitions allow you to explore both physical artworks and an emotionally rich immersive experience that traces the artist’s life and career. Meanwhile, the David Hockney experience surrounds you with vivid digital landscapes and commentary from the artist himself, offering a fresh perspective on his creative evolution.

This is not a traditional museum visit—it is an engaging, visually dynamic experience designed for art lovers, families, and curious minds alike.

Terms & conditions

• Each ticket admits one (1) person only.
• Screening starts promptly at the stated time. Guests are advised to arrive at least 10 minutes early to avoid missing the experience.
• Last admission is at 8:00pm (unless otherwise stated).
• Late arrival may result in non-admittance or delayed entry, subject to management’s discretion and availability.
• Entry and access will be refused if tickets are not purchased from Globaltix or other authorised points of sale.
• Visitors are requested to switch mobile phones to silent mode before entering the attraction(s).
• No food or drinks are permitted within the attraction.
• Admission tickets are non-refundable, non-transferable, and void if altered.
• Tickets may not be copied, duplicated, resold, or reused and are valid for single entry only.
• IMBA reserves the right to refuse admission if ticket misuse or fraud is suspected.
• Any approved changes are subject to prevailing terms and conditions.
• Ticket prices and applicable discounts may change during the sale period at the discretion of IMBA. 
• No refunds or partial refunds will be issued for any price differences after purchase. 
• “Singapore Resident” refers to Singapore Citizens, Permanent Residents, Employment Pass holders, Work Permit holders, and Dependent Pass holders.
• A valid identity document must be presented during ticket purchase and/or entry.
• Random checks may be conducted at the point of entry.
• Guests who fail to produce valid proof of eligibility will be required to upgrade their tickets accordingly. 
• IMBA may, without prior notice and without refund, compensation, or liability, change operating hours, close, or restrict admission due to capacity limits, inclement weather, special events, or other operational reasons.
• IMBA shall not be responsible or liable for any loss, damage, or injury suffered by guests, whether caused by negligence or otherwise, except where liability cannot be excluded by law. 
• Guests must comply with all safety instructions, rules, and signage provided by IMBA staff.
• IMBA reserves the right to deny entry or remove guests who pose a safety risk or fail to comply with rules. 
• Disorderly conduct, harassment, or disruptive behaviour will result in immediate removal without refund.
• IMBA reserves the right to refuse admission to any person deemed unfit for entry. 
• Photography, video, or audio recording may be restricted or prohibited within the attraction. 
• Any unauthorised recording may be confiscated or deleted at management's discretion. 
• IMBA shall not be held liable for failure or delay in performance due to events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, government regulations, pandemics, or public emergencies.
