What to expect
The Immigration Museum is a museum in Australia mainly focusing on immigration history. The museum is located in the old customs building on Flinder Street in Melbourne. The museum is famous for its magnificent LongRoom, a Renaissance-style building. Established in 1998, the Immigration Museum is a museum under the Victorian Museums responsible for Victoria's cultural and scientific collections. It is also a sister museum to the Melbourne Museum (including the Royal Exhibition Hall) and the Scienceworks Museum. In addition to immigration history records, the museum hosts a variety of traveling exhibits and offers educational programs.
