What to expect
Australia offers quite an experience with giraffes, cheetahs and rhinos. The Werribee Open Range Zoo, which is located about 20 miles southwest of Melbourne, attempts to recreate a safari experience for visitors. You can take an open-vehicle game drive or stay overnight in this mini-Serengeti with a Slumber Safari. There is also a simulated African village.
