What to expect
The UN headquarters includes four main buildings, including the Secretariat Building, Conference Hall, General Assembly Hall and Library. The land is international territory. You need to make an appointment for a guided tour in advance. During the tour, you can enter some conference rooms to learn about the operation and history of the United Nations. There are many sculptures symbolizing peace on display in the square, which are suitable for taking pictures and quietly appreciating. There is a Souvenir shop in the museum, where you can buy postcards and stamp them with the special UN postmark as a special travel souvenir. The overall visit time is about 1 to 2 hours. It is a good stop when you come to New York and want to learn about international affairs and world cooperation issues.
