What to expect
Lincoln Center consists of three theaters, the New York State Theater, the Metropolitan Opera and the Avery Fisher Hall. You can take a one-hour group tour to see the venue and backstage, or enjoy a fantastic show. Before Lincoln Center was built, it was a New York slum, and the Rockefeller family spent $168 million to turn it into an art destination. Among them, the New York State Theater is the performance venue of the New York City Ballet, and classic plays such as "The Nutcracker" and "Swan Lake" are often staged here. The Metropolitan Opera House is the resident venue of the American Ballet and the Metropolitan Opera, and famous vocal singers Pavarotti and Carreras have all sang here. Avery Fisher Hall is the performance venue of the New York Philharmonic Orchestra, and Chinese cellist Yo-Yo Ma is a frequent visitor here. The Lincoln Arts Festival held every year at Lincoln Center brings together performers and performance teams from all over the world. At that time, you will enjoy the wonderful performances of modern dance, ballet, opera, drama, concerts and other performances.
