The Heisei Chishinkan Museum is a modern exhibition hall of the Kyoto National Museum, located in Higashiyama District, Kyoto. Founded in 1897, the Kyoto National Museum is one of Japan's most important museums, dedicated to preserving and showcasing the country's cultural heritage. Designed by renowned architect Yoshio Taniguchi and opened in 2014, the museum boasts a contemporary architecture that blends traditional and modern elements, showcasing a minimalist yet elegant design. Exhibitions encompass Japanese art and culture, including paintings, sculptures, crafts, and archaeological artifacts. Exhibits change regularly, showcasing Japan's rich cultural heritage from ancient times to the present day.

• - Please refrain from talking on mobile phones, using fountain pens, felt-tip pens, ballpoint pens, or mechanical pencils, taking photographs, copying, or eating or drinking within the venue.
• - The exhibition period may be subject to change due to various circumstances
• First Exhibition: Saturday, September 20, 2025 - Sunday, October 19, 2025
• - The Masterpiece Gallery (permanent exhibition) is not open.
• Please note that resold tickets will be invalid and you may be denied entry
• -This ticket cannot be canceled, refunded, exchanged, or reissued.
• Second Exhibition: Tuesday, October 21, 2025 - Sunday, November 16, 2025
• They also cannot be used in conjunction with other service vouchers.
• -Junior high school students and younger, and those with a disability certificate or similar and one caregiver are admitted free of charge (proof required).
• -Campus Members (including faculty and staff) receive a 500 yen discount on various same-day tickets
• Please present your student or faculty/staff ID card at the South Gate ticket counter during the exhibition period (tickets are sold on the day only and cannot be used in conjunction with other discounts).
