What to expect

Kiyotsu Gorge is one of Japan's three great valleys. Its steep columnar textures create a striking beauty, perfectly complementing the Kiyotsu River's rushing waters and rugged cliffs to form a majestic landscape. After the valley tunnel was constructed, visitors can admire its grandeur from the observation deck.The canyon stretches approximately 12 km, formed by volcanic activity 80,000 years ago. Its towering basalt cliffs reach up to 100 meters, creating a majestic landscape. The 750-meter sightseeing tunnel, opened in 1996, features four observation decks. At the terminal "Light Cave," water mirrors reflect the canyon's wonders into dreamlike scenes that change with the seasons: spring cherry blossoms adorn the cliffs, summer greenery dyes the pools, autumn maples blaze like fire, and winter snow blankets the precipices.

Things to note

• *Preschoolers and those with disability certificates are free to enter without prior reservations. (Those with certificates must present their certificates or copies on the day.) Those without certificates will not be admitted
• *Special discounts are available for groups of 20 or more. (Please complete the group application form and send it to the Cheongjin Gorge Tunnel Management Office in advance by email or fax.)
• Guardians must purchase tickets at the regular price.
• *Once you enter the Kiyotsukyo Gorge Tunnel, you will see the reception desk
• Please prepare the QR code you were given and present it to the staff
• The water is shallow, about 0.5 to 2 centimeters deep at the edge, making it safe to walk
• Due to poor communication conditions inside the tunnel, we recommend taking a screenshot or printing out the QR code you were given.
• It gets wet easily, so it's recommended to bring spare shoes, socks, and a towel.
• *This service is only available on the day of use.
• There's water inside the Panorama Station (Water Mirror), located at the deepest point of the Kiyotsukyo Tunnel
• · When taking photos at the panoramic station (water mirror), multiple people are allowed to take photos at the same time
• Please be careful where you step.
• The tunnel is dimly lit
• There are no waiting lines or restrictions on the direction of the view, so please enjoy it to your heart's content.

Terms & conditions

Preschool children and individuals with disabilities (with valid ID) are eligible for free admission without prior reservation. (ID cards or copies must be presented on the day of visit.) Entry will be denied without valid ID. Guardians must purchase tickets at regular price.
Groups of 20 or more are eligible for special discounts. (Please complete the group application form and submit it in advance via email or fax to the Kiyotsu Gorge Tunnel Management Office.)
Upon entering the Seorak Valley Tunnel, you will see the reception desk. Please prepare your issued QR code and present it to the staff. Due to poor communication conditions inside the tunnel, we recommend taking a screenshot or printing your issued QR code in advance.

· At the deepest point of the Kiyotsu Gorge Tunnel, there is water in the Panorama Station (Mizu Kagami). The water depth at the edges is approximately 0.5 to 2 cm, which is shallow enough to walk through. However, it's easy to get wet, so we recommend bringing spare shoes, socks, and a towel.
At the Panorama Station (Mizukagami), multiple people can take photos together simultaneously. There are no queues or directional restrictions, so feel free to enjoy the experience to the fullest.
