What to expect
The Kadokawa Musashino Museum is located in Tokorozawa, Saitama Prefecture, Japan, and is a unique architectural masterpiece designed by renowned architect Kengo Kuma. The museum's exterior features approximately 20,000 granite slabs with specially treated rough textures, showcasing a harmonious blend of nature and human craftsmanship. The museum spans five floors, each with its own distinct charm. The first floor houses the Grand Gallery and a library dedicated to KADOKAWA-published manga and light novels. The second floor includes a reception area, souvenir shop, and café. The third floor is home to the EJ Anime Museum, a must-visit for anime enthusiasts. The fourth floor is the heart of the museum, boasting a collection of around 50,000 books and the Bookshelf Theater, which regularly hosts multimedia light shows, offering visitors an immersive audiovisual experience. The fifth floor features a stylish cherry blossom-themed restaurant. Additionally, a short walk from the museum leads to the Musashino Forest in Higashi-Tokorozawa Park, where the permanent exhibition "teamLab: A Forest Where Gods Live, Resonating Life in the Acorn Forest" provides an interactive space for visitors to connect with nature. The Kadokawa Musashino Museum is not only a perfect fusion of architecture and natural beauty but also an ideal destination to experience interactive art and the harmony of nature.
