MOOMIN VALLEY PARKThis is a very important attraction in Hanno. Step into the Nordic wonderland deep in Saitama Forest, where Moomin Valley outlines a fairy-tale dimension with its rounded curves. The Moomin House stands among white birch trees, its cloud-like blue roof wafting the aroma of cinnamon rolls. Push open the round wooden door to find fluffy Moomintroll reading letters by the fireplace. Follow the wooden boardwalk to the Elf Theater, where life-sized Little My and Snufkin perform shadow puppet shows, with Finnish nursery rhymes blending surprisingly harmoniously with Japanese subtitles. Children can crawl into the treehouse-shaped picture book gallery and touch glowing 3D pages in the acrylic "Firefly Forest." Don't forget to grab a cup of lingonberry juice at Moominmamma's Kitchen while watching the changing seasons through the floor-to-ceiling windows—wild berries dotting mossy grounds in spring, maple-red hues soaking the valley in fall, and the rustling of pine needles as if an invisible hand were gently turning the parchment pages of a fairy-tale book.
