The Okinawa Prefectural Museum and Art Museum is located in the new district "Shintoshin" of Naha City. The architectural style of the entire museum is very modern. The white exterior walls and square lattice make people feel like a fortress. Here you can better understand the unique history and culture of Okinawa. The museum displays the nature, history and culture of Okinawa from two dimensions of "ocean" and "island". In addition, there are 5 exhibition rooms for natural history, archaeology, arts and crafts, and folk customs. The museum mainly exhibits works of various forms such as Okinawa and Okinawa-related art, photography, and installations. Exhibits are regularly updated with different themes. There are also various planned exhibitions on the 2nd floor, and tickets need to be purchased separately.
