What to expect

Hozu River rafting is one of the more popular rafting in Kyoto. Bozu River is located between Kyoto Kameoka City and Kyoto Arashiyama Togetsu Bridge. It is a famous scenic tourist destination for the Arashiyama Train (Sagano Scenic Railway). Huge rocks, boulders and rapids can be seen everywhere in Baojin Gorge. There are many changes in direction along the way along the valley. From the air, you can see several large bends in the shape of the Chinese character "Ji". Tourists can choose to take a rubber boat near JR Kameoka Station for a rafting session. Wonders such as Wu Hat Rock and Lion Rock follow one after another. Keep meeting, and you can also meet the Arashiyama train passing by halfway up the mountain. It may be that the turbulent upstream makes you so thrilling that you have no time to take into account the overall beauty. When you reach the downstream, you will suddenly become enlightened. The destination for rafting on the Baojin River is near the Togetsu Bridge in Arashiyama. Please present your e-ticket on your mobile device at the reception counter of the cruise departure point (Hozugawa River Cruise). Please note that the cruise may depart up to 30 minutes later than the scheduled package time.
If you are late, you may not be able to board within the 30-minute boarding window. If you have booked the last ferry of the day and arrive late, boarding will not be possible. Please allow sufficient time to complete check-in procedures.

Participation restrictions:
There is no restroom on board.
You can bring your own food and drinks onboard.
You can take photos during the cruise, but please inform the boatman in advance if you wish to stand up.
Important notes for taking the Hozugawa River cruise:
Passengers under 80 cm tall are not allowed to board the ship.
2. Passengers who do not wear a life jacket properly are not allowed to board the ship.
3. Passengers who are feeling unwell are not allowed to board the ship.
4. Category 1 visitors with disabilities and category 2 visitors with disabilities under 12 years old must be accompanied by a companion.
5. Wheelchair users must be accompanied by a companion when boarding. Please have your companion assist you in moving to a seat on the boat. Foldable wheelchairs can be stored on board. (Note: Wheelchairs cannot be used directly for boarding.)
