Umeda Sky Building, a landmark of Osaka.

The Floating Garden Observatory, located at the very top of these connected structures, is one of Japan's leading 360-degree fully open rooftop observation decks.

You can enjoy a wide-angle sky panorama of the Osaka cityscape while feeling the pleasant breeze from 173 meters above ground.

From "cafe SKY 40" on the 40th floor observation deck, you can relax and enjoy the beautiful sunset, which has been selected as one of the "100 Best Sunsets in Japan," while sipping on an original drink.

At night, the starry sky sparkles on the Lumi Sky Walk, a paved path of sparkling stars that gives you the feeling of walking on stars while enjoying the Osaka night view. It's a unique spot with a spectacular view.

■ "Heart Rock"

The heart-shaped padlock "Heart Lock" is a very popular item at the Floating Garden Observatory.

There are 11 different colors available: red, gold, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, pink, white, black, and light blue!

Your names and the date can be engraved on it, and it can be attached to the promise fence in the Lumi Deck, an area on the roof where heart locks can be attached.

You can enjoy your own unique photo with the colorful heart locks attached as the background.

■ "Soda float"

The most popular drink at Cafe SKY 40 on the 40th floor is the Color Pop Soda Float.

The highlight of this drink is the soft serve ice cream on top of the colorful soda, which is sprinkled with sparkling stars!

You can choose your favorite flavor or your favorite color!

The photo will look even more spectacular if you add a heart-shaped icing cookie, which are sold locally.

Take some photos with the magnificent scenery as your backdrop.

■ Sparkling wine

This special plan includes a half 375ml bottle of Martini Brut sparkling wine (usually sold for 1,500 yen) at Cafe SKY 40 on the 40th floor of the Sky Garden, home-roasted almonds and dried fruits, and a pair of tickets to the Sky Garden.

Things to note

• No age restrictions. Guests with vertigo may prefer the indoor observation areas.
• Expect larger crowds during cherry blossom season, autumn, and public holidays. Advance booking is recommended.
• The open-air rooftop may close during strong winds or heavy rain, while indoor observation areas remain open.
• No dress code. Bring a light jacket, as it can be cooler at the rooftop, especially in the evening.
• Outside food and beverages are not permitted on the observation floors. Dining options are available within the building.

Terms & conditions

1. Not valid for use on special business days such as the Osaka Yodogawa Fireworks Festival.
2. Visitors using wheelchairs should take the high-floor elevator on the 1st Floor of the East Tower.
3. Access to the rooftop may be restricted during severe weather conditions such as storms. We appreciate your understanding.
