Things to note

• Entrance tickets for sunrise access are separate from the regular day pass.
• The sunrise visit usually starts around 4:30–5:00 AM. Please be ready for early departure.
• Modest clothing is recommended (shoulders and knees covered).
• Access to the upper levels of Borobudur may be limited depending on restoration or crowd control measures.
• The experience is weather-dependent; sunrise visibility may vary.
• The temple area includes many stairs; comfortable shoes are advised.

• Tickets are valid only for the selected visit date.
• Tickets are non-refundable.
• Each ticket is valid for one-time use only.
• A single price applies for both international and domestic visitors.
• Children aged 3 years and above require a ticket.
• Ticket purchases must include a valid ID (KTP/Passport/KITAS).
• Online ticket purchases can be made no later than 2 days before the visit, until 24:00 WIB.
• Foreign visitors holding a KITAS (temporary stay permit) may purchase domestic visitor tickets, with domestic visitor services (including local guide).
• Guides are provided collectively for groups and are not assigned to individual visitors.
• Private guides or tour leaders brought by visitors are charged the same price as regular visitors.
• For documentation purposes, visitors are allowed to use mobile phone cameras.
• The use of DSLR cameras with standard/kit lenses is permitted. However, the use of professional cameras with telephoto lenses or tripods is not allowed, unless official permission has been obtained through the relevant authorities.
• Visitors are allowed to bring personal drinking water, but bringing food into the Borobudur Temple area is not permitted.
• Visitors are recommended to store personal belongings in their own vehicles.
• Guests are not allowed to separate from the group until the Sunrise visit is completed.
• Ticket prices are subject to change based on management policy.

• Visitors must maintain cleanliness and adhere to all prohibitions, including:

• Do not scribble or vandalize
• No smoking
• Do not move or rearrange stones
• Do not sit on stupas or ledges
• No food allowed
• No climbing
• Do not bring weapons, musical instruments, drones, or pets
• Follow all regulations within the temple area
• Visitors are required to dress modestly, and are recommended to wear clothing in white tones.
