What to expect
After meeting with your group at the museum, you will be greeted by your guide who specializes in the history of art. They will aim to introduce you a special selection of paintings from the 15th to the 19th century throughout your experience. This tour has been specially designed so that all types of visitors can have a clear idea of the evolution of Dutch and European art.
In chronological order, you will see from the works of the Flemish Primitives, passing through paintings as well known as the Night Watch of Rembrandt or The Milkmaid de Vermeer, to the personal works of Van Gogh or Goya. The building itself is also a work of art, with its rooms and its library being the most famous work of Dutch architect Pierre Cuypers.
In addition, the museum also includes Delft ceramics, sculptures, archaeological remains, clothing, Asian art, prints, articles of Dutch maritime history, and a great collection of significant objects. At the conclusion of your tour, you can continue enjoying the museum on your own.
