What to expect

Begin your visit in the ground floor stables, where Gaudí's use of mushroom-shaped columns is immediately apparent. Progress through the private family rooms and the grand central hall before heading up to the rooftop, the highlight of any visit, where 20 uniquely decorated chimneys offer sweeping views over Barcelona. Allow 60–90 minutes for a thorough visit.
