What to expect

Soar above the city and enjoy breathtaking views of Greater Taipei from the fully transparent Crystal Cabin. Gaze at the distant mountain scenery or look down to admire the passing landscapes below. For an even more spectacular experience, take an evening ride to witness Taipei's dazzling night views, including the iconic Taipei 101.

The Maokong Gondola has a total of four stations in order: Taipei Zoo Station, Taipei Zoo South Station, Zhinan Temple Station, and Maokong Station. The entire journey takes approximately 17 minutes. The gondola connects to the Maokong mountain area, offering a bird's-eye view of the entire Maokong attraction from the cable car.

Taking the cable car usually involves waiting in line, with separate queues for the standard cabin and the Crystal Cabin. The Crystal Cabin features a fully transparent reinforced glass floor, allowing passengers to admire the mountain views above and the breathtaking scenery below. The Maokong tea plantations resemble miniature landscapes, with neat rows of tea bushes arranged like terraced fields, creating a spectacular sight.

Take the train to the zoo's internal station, which passes above the zoo where you can hear animal sounds. This station is located inside Taipei Zoo.
