What to expect

Fossil enthusiasts? Don't miss the Tainan Fossil Park! Home to over 4,600 fossils, it boasts the largest collection of local fossils in the world. The park boasts five exhibition halls, including the Natural History Education Hall, Storytelling Hall, Fossil Hall, Life Evolution Hall, and Exploration Hall, as well as an outdoor plaza. The park also features a variety of fun augmented reality interactive installations, offering both educational and entertaining experiences. It's a perfect destination for families!

Look up at the evolving sky, watch the battles of marine life for land, the majestic dinosaurs that once dominated the earth, and then witness the rise and prosperity of mammals and the flourishing of prehistoric humans, and witness the prosperity and decline of the evolution of life on Earth.

In 1971, fossil enthusiast Pan Changwu obtained a rhino tooth from two students. He then excavated it with the help of many parties and named it "Hayasaka Chinese rhinoceros subspecies". It lived in a thorny forest environment from about 900,000 to 450,000 years ago.

Presenting the unique natural and cultural landscape of the "Homeland of Fossils," this exhibition explores the precious treasure trove of Taiwanese fossils, revisiting the present and past of Taiwanese primates, and exploring the unique characteristics and stories of fossils unearthed in Taiwan, including crocodiles, sika deer, buffalo, porcupines, tigers, and black bears.

Admire the artistic creations of the Taiwan elephant fossils and gain a glimpse into the anatomical mysteries of the different parts of the elephant's skeleton.
