What to expect

The Lanyang Museum combines local marine tourism features, connecting the Northeast Coast Scenic Area, Toucheng Old Street, local communities and exhibition halls to form a tourist corridor. It serves as a window for cultural tourism in the tourist resource area, looking forward to recreating the splendor of Shigang Spring Sailing and practicing the concept of "Yilan is a museum."

[Architectural Features] The main building of the museum has its highest point facing Guishan Island in the east, and gradually descends to the ground in the southwest, forming a triangular cone. The exterior walls of the building are directly embedded in the soil, simulating the image of a huge rock standing upright, making the building echo the Wu Shi Reef in the park's waters. The exterior wall of the Lambo building is inspired by the notes of Vivaldi's violin concerto "The Four Seasons". The architect arranged the stone and cast aluminum panels on the exterior wall according to the melody of the music, presenting the farmland landscape of Lanyang, like a dynamic musical ode.

[Sea Layer Permanent Exhibition] The Lanyang River joins the rivers on the plain and flows into the ocean, connecting to the Kuroshio Current that flows northward from the equator. Let us follow the tide, sink, and rise, and experience the vibrations of the underwater volcanoes among the migration of eel fry and the swaying of corals.

[Plain Layer Permanent Exhibition] Water/Rivers have shaped the lifestyle of the Yilan Plain. The focus of the Plain Layer exhibition is on the arterial rivers that once had a profound impact on the social and economic life of the Yilan Plain, as well as the connection between life and water that is full of farmers' wisdom.
