What to expect
ALIEN Art Center is located at No. 111, Gushan 1st Road, Gushan District, Kaohsiung City, Taiwan. It is a private art museum transformed from a military building in the 1960s. This place was a relay station for Taiwanese youth to serve on outlying islands such as Kinmen, Matsu, and Penghu during the Cold War between Taiwan and the mainland, and it has profound historical significance. The design of the art museum retains many features of the original building, such as the corridor, materials, and light and shadow. ALIEN Art Center aims to become a public art space in the city, allowing all Residents to participate in exchanges and enhance Kaohsiung's city image and Residents' cultural experience.
